Halloween fun!

hallo I know I normally do the reveal on Fridays but I couldn't wait especially as I enjoyed halloween this year so much, we went with friends down to the beach last night and the sea was crazy, then we drank punch and told ghost stories whilst eating pumpkin spaghetti, it was perfect!
So this week I did the feet again and Rachel Fuller fab childrens illustrator who happens to sit next to me in the studio played the body and the talented Beth Gunnell  played this wicked pumpkin head.

Under the sea!

Amazing we are now on week 5 of Flick'n'Mix and it still going strong, I am so pleased that it is bringing together such interesting and talented people and this week is no exception with Nicky Ovitt playing the head, Claire Montgomery designer and organiser of The Fairy Tale Fair (coming up in a few weeks) illustrating a smashing ever so detailed body, and myself playing the feet again :)
I just love this one, hope you do too.
Next weeks theme is Halloween, who will play...?

OOOAAARRR!!!

hooray!! another brilliant illustration this week the theme was chosen by Jayne Schofield (legs) Jayne chose Pirates, perfect choice. Body has been illustrated by Andria over at Florrie Grace and the head by the lovely Sarah over at Whistle and stitch, I think it works very well indeed.
So now who fancies playing with Nicky Ovit over in Northern California, our first overseas player...
The theme is under the sea.
Now I am off to enjoy my birthday weekend, have lovely weekends whatever you do, see you next week.

Friday 12 October 2012

oh yes butterflies!

Armed with the theme of Butterflies this week Dawn Machell of Pop-i-cok has played with Janine from Dilys treacle ( who was at the ladder club seminar I recently attended) and David from Custard Cards in Brighton, I think you will agree this is awesome, I love that she/he looks like she is wearing an amazing mohair jumper whilst dancing!!
thanks guys and roll on next week, have great weekends all.

A sneaky one!!

So cool to hear that Amy Underhill over at under the hill was inspired to play another game of Flick 'n' mix, I really want to get as many talented designers and artists on board so spread the news and play with us!!
Amy played with Jane Schofield and Joanne Lee and gave the game the theme of Owls, I think you would agree this is a wicked illustration :)

Friday 5 October 2012

Oh wow I am loving this more and more, 5 o'clock this morning I woke up to discover the final piece from Moira and I nearly got up there and then to put them together I was so excited!
And how quirky is this weeks with my Dads geoscoperlous head, and a real fairy tale feel from both Steph at Ric Rac and Moira Millman, I love the ladybird shoes and desperately want a pair for Olive, just brilliant, thanks to all for playing and now just 3 more peeps for next weeks game...

Oh this really is too cool, here is the 1st heads, shoulders, knees and toes illustration!!!!

Armed with the theme of 'cats' Amy Underhill, Liz Mackay and myself have all come up with illustrations which just work brilliantly together!!

There is a definite orange theme going on here.

Thank you both Amy and Liz for helping to get this project up and running and we are now looking for more illustrators to continue the fun :)

If you would like to take part pop your name below and I will be in touch.

Next weeks theme is 'red' and we NEED 1 more illustrator to play with my dad and the fantastic Moira Millman...
